What does it mean to lead a school system in the age of AI?
AI is changing more than how work gets done. It is raising new questions about learning, knowledge, capability, judgment, and what it means to be prepared for tomorrow. For school systems, perhaps the bigger question isn't simply how AI fits into education, but how education will influence what AI becomes.
The future of AI is also a question education will help answer.
How do you lead learning when everyone is still learning?
The world we've ushered in — the Age of AI — has shifted our learning targets. We used to learn something, codify it, laminate it, and call it done. Now we're learning without a fixed target, or with targets that move as we approach them. Recognizing this shift matters. So does offering grace to ourselves and one another as we learn.
When the target keeps moving, we're all still learning.
How do you manage change when change is the target?
You don't. You lean into it. Change creates very real psychological concerns for the people experiencing it. Rather than trying to manage change itself, attend to those concerns and help people find their place in the new reality you're working toward. The work of meaningful change is, after all, the work of people.
Change becomes possible when people can see their place.

Do I need to talk to someone before making a purchase?
Not at all. That said, we’re happy to hop on a quick call if you’d like some guidance before making a purchase. We don’t want you buying something that isn’t useful for what you need. Send us a quick text at 217.776.9599 and we’ll take it from there.
What happens after I make a purchase?
After checkout, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your receipt and a second email with a link to the Customer Access Center. Log in there to access your purchase.
If you don’t see the emails right away, check your spam or junk folder and be sure to whitelist us. Still stuck? Email us at [email protected] or text/call 217-776-9599, and we’ll get you sorted.
What if I need help with something I've purchased?
Just email [email protected] with a short note about where you’re stuck and the best way to reach you. We’re here to help and happy to troubleshoot.
Can I use Blue Heron resources with my organization or team?
Absolutely. If a Blue Heron resource can support the work you're doing with your team or organization, use it. Share it. Put it to work. That's what it's for. We simply ask that you credit Blue Heron Coaching as the source and that our tools not be sold, resold, or repackaged for commercial use. If you’re unsure whether your intended use fits, reach out. We’re happy to help.
Do I need a paid AI plan to use an AI TeamMate?
It depends on what you’re using. AI TeamMates such as Indigo and Sage can be used through supported AI platforms, and free accounts may be subject to the platform’s usage limits. Paid plans generally provide greater access and higher usage limits.
Phoenix and Prism are accessed through Blue Heron and do not require a separate AI subscription.
Can I create my own AI TeamMate?
Absolutely. Our AI TeamMate Builder gives you the structure to create a custom AI TeamMate designed around your needs, goals, and the work you want it to support.
